It looks like a major server crash has happened to Fed2 as I have been trying to access Fed2 off and on for the past 3 hours. It is now 11.21 pm est. Smitty mentioned that it might be a good idea for Fed to post a notice of lengthy crashes on the main Fed2 site so I passed this on to Feedback. On the main page of my site "in red" I have indicated that Fed2 is down and as soon as I notice that it is back I will take the notice down. Cragon PS. For those in need of a Fed fix I suggest either a stiff drink or take a valium and get a good night's rest.

I hope it doesn't wipe out all the work I did yesterday! I don't keep logs of each day's work. Also, the ibgames.com website is down or at least I can't access the home page. ::withdrawal::

it's possible that with the strong storms in the midwest US- and moving toward the east coast- either the data center where fed is hosted (which is in NYC) or some of the actual internet backbone was knocked offline- i've noticed a few sites that are down, and my power (in chicago) was just restored this afternoon! also, what's up with "slam32" posting a subprime mortgage article... it's got a referral link at the bottom too... can we ban him?

I thought the server was in England.

It's 6.30 PM est and Fed is still down....must be a serious reason to be down this long or maybe Alan forgot to pay the bill.

I'm pretty sure it's colocated in a data center in ny- but maybe I'm just crazy and i dreamed that... it's totally possible!

I just wanted to tell Slam32 that housing on Fed is "only" 10 megagroats per build... Does that make me a nerd?

Just read an article that Alan wrote on Fed's unique triple back-up...(sorry am completely tech ignorant, so don't know what it is really supposed to be called). Anyhow, I seem to remember the servers are in NJ and London.

If it's triple redundancy, I'd say it needs some work...chuckle
