Do you guys allow your planets to go into the red to stockpile commods? Does that really work?

there's no reason you can't- i usually do builds so that my treasury is back to 0, then do some hauling and it'll go down to -1 meg or so- but it comes back  |

at the moment, i have my min set to 125, max 650. if i haul out (which i rarely do) i haul 4 bays each of my top 8 producers. all of them re-fill in under an hour. i don't like hauling out though, so this might not be the best way to do things - other people are keeping their stockpiles MUCH higher (like 2000) but this is what works for me  |

Im trying a little experiment..Im walking up my highest producing stock piles 700 tons at a time..Im going to stop at 3500..and set my mins to 2000. that means I will have two ship loads of each thing to haul out..we will see how I do.

Let us know np how that min 2000/3500 max goes as I was going to try that myself. If you check back on this board I believe it was Monkey from Acuminata who first experimented big time with huge deficits in his treasury. From what I remember that experiment did not go well. Cragon  |

That 3500 Max 2000 didn't really work as I really don't have the time in RL to haul, haul, haul. Im going to just go back to 800/100..and hauling out like 3 or 4 of each surplus and shipping in my biggest defs.
