that's why you should stop at hauling in 7 bays of a def at a time (maximum) - because 7*75 = 525. haul in an 8th bay, and your exchange will only get half of the commod. That's good info. I didn't know that!

Ok. I want to try and figure out the best situation for my planet as I am just floundering around not really makin jack. Do we know how many cycles our planet goes thru each hour? Or what calculations do you use to try and figure out how many bays per hour your planet needs to survive? I want to try and set up some F keys for this to save the typing as much as possible and cant seem to nail down the number of cycles per hour. Thanks

Thanks I've studied this quite a bit...it seems that the number of cycles per hour will change from day to day. I've calculated cycles per hour on all 4 of my planets and found that this changes every day at reset. I've seen rates fluctuate from as few as 6 to as many as 14 per hour. Also, increased efficiency will increase the number of cycles per hour (see my posts under the Agri college topic.) I've found that increasing a commodity to 114% will give you about 33% more cycles per hour. Hope this helps. Dun

Ok. Do we know how many cycles our planet goes thru each hour? Or what calculations do you use to try and figure out how many bays per hour your planet needs to survive? I found the number of cycles my planet has by hauling in a deficit until it was zero (7 bays). If I did an agri commod, I did a 'di exchange agri' every minute or so until it changed (commod amount depleted). I made note of the time and checked every minute or so until it changed again. I found that my exchange cycles every five minutes or 12 times an hour. I don't know if there is a different, more accurate way, though. As far as a calculation to find out how many bays your planet needs, I used Smitty's formula for daily amounts. It is posted in this thread (I think it was posted on 9/25 if that helps!). His strategy has been working for me. I don't like that there isn't much to do, so after I'm done hauling into my planet, I go haul on the other planets to make enough money to expedite my builds. There's a lot I need to learn before I can promote, so I'm glad for any corrections or additional input!

Ah.. so there is no rhyme or reason to the exchange cycles. That makes sense. Well.. Guess I will just low ball it and go with 6 cycles per hour to be on the safe side.
