Thanks for posting about Fed II. I actually ran into this site by accident on a Google search.

I miss my planet!

So, do the magically powers restore the infrastructure of planets, warehouses and depots and factories and balances of Merchants and FOs, etc?? Or are we basically going to get the rank we left at, but nothing else? No price checkers, slithies, etc.

Sorry, as a former network admin, HTF do you not make sure you have working, recent backups? Are they at least going to restore those backups to a separate box so they can view what people had, and fix that in the new server? We've done that before at my workplace, it's not always fun, but it's sometimes necessary.

And what of the players who don't come back, or haven't been on for a while? I take it that those planets will disappear, etc...it sounds like we are basically starting from scratch except for our "rank".

Definitely not good.

Having said that, I'll be anxiously awaiting more updates as to how they are going to restore the game, the players, and the faith. I know what a PITA a server meltdown is, and I'm not one who would flood Hazed et al with questions or gripes right now anyways. But I hope they realize that getting the game back up and running will be the least of the problems...

All you had will be returned, I am sure. Hazed's magic powers are great. We'll get our planets, groats, slithies, etc. back.

I had 12 slithies across 2 players (one which I have a log for, thankfully he has 11 of 12, the other player had 1 but no log (forget now why I had turned off the logs) but regardless I guess time will tell). Thanks for the updates!

I know, I don't have logs for everything as alts sometimes screwed up the logs unless I manually opened separate logs.

How will I know when my DNS thingie has updated? I am unable to log on (as I'm assuming everyone else is...). I can amuse myself by observing Dupree's mental breakdown until then...just don't want to not be logged on because I am lacking in technological knowledge.

Anyways...even though I don't chat much in the game, there is always something reassuring about seeing all your names on the right side of my screen each day. Look forward to that again soon!
