fedii.b-dub.orgThe Purpose of these pages are to (a) Allow a PO to quickly and easily view the details of his/her exchange (b) Allow a PO to quickly and easily determin which factories his/her planet needs and can support (c) WIP {work in progress) Facilitate trading among the Player planets by publishing a summary surplus and deficit data for participating planets NOTE: you can choose to hide the details of your exchange if you only want the world to see them (like spread/min/max etc) Currently data is available for Numazu and Avalon (and a Hidden data Example). You can upload your files multiple times without issue (just be sure to always upload both files)... Typically what I do is get my "Base Roll" data (i.e. The "DI Production" output with NO events) and just update the "DI EXCHANGE" data to get a latest and greatest current inventory snapshot...I mean unless you do a build to increase production/consumption then the "Roll" doesn't change really. Feedback appreciated...the look isn't very slick at the moment but the mechanics are there....and I find the information quite useful. If enough people upload their data [and I get around to developing item (c)] we can save Cragon quite a bit of legwork...... Also I know I need to add some documentation / field definitions to the output pages but don't hold your breath.....feel free to catch me in-game or post to this thread with questions.

Dupree, If I happen to change something in my exchange, will I be able to upload updated files or should I just leave it?
If this computer illiterate can upload files to your site, anyone can. This must have taken you a long time to do. I'm printing out my information so I can figure out what it all means. I already can see that I'm going to have to stagger my facs output times.
Thanks!

Hi Brooke, Feel free to upload the files multiple times it will just overwrite previously uploaded data. I am glad it worked for you!! It was surprisingly quick to develop....I just need to dress up the "results" pages and add a few summary pages to relieve Smitty and Cragon of some of their manual efforts
Thanks for trying it out!

You should be congratulated on your efforts in producing a very useful tool for PO's. I have added Binary to your web page.
You asked for any feedback so here goes :-)
I don't think I spotted what level the planet is, either on the main web page or in the display pages. I think this would be useful to know whithout having to inspect the exchange.
What is interesting is that by inspecting the Net production columns of planet exchanges it appears that most Agricultural planets have much more consumption than Resource planets and therefore over time have an advantage when filling deficits. It just confirms something I have noticed since the Engineer rank went in the game.
I am assume that the 'Daily Prod' column is the calculated bays that are either produced or consumed and appears to be based on approx 12 cycles per hour (every five minutes). There appears to be no adjustment for efficiency which effects the cycle time, so.....
Based on observations in the game the 5 minute cycles looks good for commodities with 100% efficiency. For any higher efficiency the cylce time gets shorter. You would think that 113% would be 13% less than the cycle time at 100%, but no, it looks to be more like 3 times that. So for example 113% efficiency results in a cycle time of 5 x 3 x 13%/100 = 1.95 min less than normal, which gives a new cycle time of close to 3 minutes. This checks out in the game.
Any adjustment made for efficiency will effect the calculation of the daily production column.

Hey Carl, I am glad you find this thing useful, but allow me to give credit where credit is due......The work done by Cragon and Smitty was the seed and is the foundation for these pages....without their efforts and information sharing (by all the POs that frequent this board) here and in Fed my pages would not exist!!
Thanks for the feedback.
You are correct on all assumptions [daily Prod = (Production-Consumption)*24*12/75]
As for factoring in the effeciency....That is an enhancement I was looking to do but haven't taken the time to do any validation on the formula. So I thank you for providing the calc and doing the validation....I will see if I can take that into account and roll it in over the weekend......so would the expression be:
Daily Prod = (P-C)* 24 *(60/(5-(5*3*(EFF-1.00))))/75
That works for EFF=100% and (according to your post it works for EFF=113%) do you know if it works for EFF=X (say 95% or 105%)?
I will be adding in the Planet level ID to the pages as well...thanks for catching that...
Thanks for the feedback and Please keep it coming.............I hope to add two more reports to the page this weekend along with a more friendly layout and navigation.

Oh the other thing I want to do is base Factory profit off current planet exchange values of goods (where available) rather than Base price........Which I think will be very useful, for FOs...especially a report that compare factory profitability across planets.....

I would recommend the following formula for calculating daily production which seems to work for all values of EFF when used with excel (EFF being a cell with percentage format).
Daily Prod = ((P-C)*24*12*(1+(EFF-1)*3))/75
Hope this helps.

Now Available:: ROLL COMPARISON (Modeled after Smitty's Roll Comparison available on this board) and "Who's Buying / Who's Selling" a commodity by commodity breakdown across planets modeled after Cragon's Trading Pages.

The roll comparison and the table of commodity buy/sell is great!
However, I notice that Golf is included in the roll table but does not appear in the buy/sell tables.
[edit] I can see that Golf was not showing exchange data so I guess thats why it did not show in buy/sell tables. Filbert has corrected the problem by uploading the data again.

Oh I like the idea to save me leg work on my pages as all my data is entered by hand with no automation. Now I will take my data from your "analysis tool" when adding new planets to my pages and also for up-dates. This will save time sitting in an exchange waiting for the ticker tape to scoll to the next commodity. Good work Dupree. Cragon

No problem also note the "who's buying / who's selling" pages. Hopefully the upcoming POs will be more interested in uploading data...as the old hands seem kinda apprehensive about the whole thing....

Hi Dupree...I've uploaded the files for New Gough but no matter which option I select, the production information for my planet seems to be hidden.
I must be doing something wrong. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dun
