this is a partial re-post- with asylum's resource roll added:
so brooke, for some general observations-
your new roll (asylum resource) is a production powerhouse! 20 commods over 25- and 38 producers with an average of 27 points! that's huge producing power.
as for defs- you have fewer commods that are defs, but your def points are still pretty strong, basically, that's what i would consider best. it means you have fewer defs to fill, but they eat almost as much! i see fewer trips to sol in your future!
overall, i'd consider your new roll an improvement on your last one, if only for the fewer defs each with higher consumption. (my biggest want in a roll)
as for facs... well that's a tough one. i know hauling in sucks, so i focused on things i would not have to haul at all, and that's the only way i set up my current facs. lucky for me i ran out of workthings before i got to facs that required hauling
it's definitely not worth it for you to try to build a factory to supply your anti facs, cause you don't produce petros fast enough... so it looks like hauling inputs is the only way to go.
as for switching out of anti facs- you might consider either labs or gens, which both could make a nice fit at 5 or 6 facs.
sidenote: i totally agree with filling low consumption defs with factories, and hauling in defs that eat quickly, because you can fill them many times a day and not worry about the slower ones. i think the key to trading goods is to encourage people to fill your huge defs lots of times during the day, and leave your slow defs to the factories. (i haven't been able to do this yet) - not enough merchants OR pos buying and selling here! but i think that will improve as the types of planets in game spread out more with the addition of new ranks.
anyway, those are just some opinions- so don't change on my account!
let us know how you do today, and don't be discouraged by yesterday, it was definitely the crash that hurt you- not the way you're managing the planet!
